What is Cordsmith?
Cordsmith tools are designed to make creating I-cord and finishing faster and easier. Product pages include details about available sizes, colors, and options so you can choose the tool that works best for your project.
Which Cordsmith do I need?
The best size depends on the yarn and the type of cord you want to make. Check the individual product description for sizing guidance, and if you’re unsure, please contact me before ordering.
Are Cordsmith tools made to order?
Yes! Cordsmith tools are made to order in your chosen color or design. Orders typically ship within 1–2 business days.
Forma
What is Forma?
Forma is ByAutumn’s line of embroidery and cross-stitch hoops, designed with accessibility, function, and finishing in mind. Forma hoops are available in a growing range of sizes, shapes, and colors.
Are Forma hoops made to order?
Yes. Forma hoops are produced on demand in your selected size, shape, and colors. Orders typically ship within 3–5 business days.
Can I use a Forma hoop as a display frame?
Yes! Forma hoops are designed to work both as stitching tools and as part of the finished presentation of your work.
Orders & Shipping
How quickly will my order ship?
Cordsmith orders typically ship within 1–2 business days, while Forma orders typically ship within 3–5 business daysbecause they are made on demand.
Orders containing multiple products may require additional processing time. Any product with a different processing time will note that on its product page.
How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping within the United States is $8, with free standard shipping on qualifying orders of $100 or more.
International shipping is calculated according to package weight and displayed at checkout in the applicable currency.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes! Tracking information is provided when your order ships.
For international orders shipped through Pirate Ship's Simple Export Rate, tracking numbers beginning with AHOY can be followed through Asendia International Tracking.
How long does international shipping take?
International shipments typically take 1–3 weeks or longer, depending on the destination, customs processing, and local postal services.
International packages are generally not considered lost until at least 30 days after shipment. If your package has not arrived after 30 days, please contact me so I can investigate.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! ByAutumn ships internationally to supported destinations.
International customers are responsible for applicable customs duties, VAT, taxes, or import fees charged by their country. These charges are not included unless explicitly stated at checkout.
Returns & Problems
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Because many ByAutumn products are made to order, returns and exchanges are generally not accepted for change of mind or incorrect selections.
Please review product details carefully before ordering, and don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions.

What if my Cordsmith or Forma arrives defective?
I stand behind the products I make!
If your Cordsmith or Forma hoop has a manufacturing defect, please contact me with your order number and clear photos showing the issue.
Verified manufacturing defects are covered by a free replacement, including replacement shipping. There's no need to return the defective item unless specifically requested.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Please contact me with your order number and photos of the item and packaging so I can help resolve the problem.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
ByAutumn accepts major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other payment methods shown at checkout.
Can I pay with Venmo?
Absolutely! If you'd prefer to pay using Venmo, please contact me with the items you'd like to purchase. I can help arrange your order and payment manually. You can use the contact form or email me at autumn@byautumn.com.
Wholesale
Can I place a wholesale order here?
Yes! Wholesale ordering for Cordsmith is available and requires a minimum order of 12 handles. You're welcome to mix and match any of the Cordsmith colors, sizes or designs in your order. As soon as you have 12 Cordsmiths in your shopping cart, the discount will automatically apply.
Do I need to be a yarn store to qualify for wholesale pricing?
Nope! Any order of 12 or more Cordsmith handles automatically qualifies for wholesale pricing. Whether you're holiday shopping, planning a crafting retreat, organizing a group order for your crafting meetup or guild, or simply want a Cordsmith near every one of your crafting spaces - I've got you covered!
Can I place a customized wholesale order here?
No. Custom orders will continue to be handled by contacting me at autumn@byautumn.com. The minimum order quantity is 24, and, while you're welcome to mix and match colors and styles, I do ask that you order in quantities of 4 per selected color/style combination to help us reduce waste.
